Marine Education Birthday Parties

After many years of turning down hundreds of requests to attend birthday parties, we are happy to announce we are now available for birthday parties. Yes, Seaweed Sally or a marine education officer can attend your child’s next birthday and provide an interactive and educational marine life party.
Warning!!! Roll up your sleeves as your hands will get wet and salty.
Imagine having a large rock pool right in your lounge room! Live sea stars, sea urchins, elephant snails, hermit crabs, decorator crabs, sea squirts, sea sponge, and sea cucumbers to name a few. Don’t forget the large array of preserved specimens, such as a green sea turtle, seahorse, sharks their teeth and eggs, whale bones, octopus, seadragon, coral, shells, and exoskeletons. These are just some of the amazing specimens that will enthrall your guests.
Your guests will learn of the different marine specimens ecology – how they survive in and out of water, what they eat, were they live, and what adaptations they have to survive.
All live specimens are collected locally from Victorian Waters with a permit from Fisheries Victoria and kept at our purpose built facility in Parkdale.
All live specimens are safe to touch.
All children are given the opportunity to handle all the live and preserved specimens on display, with the birthday child encouraged to help present the displays on their special day. Each party attendee will receive a marine specimen as a gift to remember, as does the birthday child.
We guarantee that all who attend one of our birthday parties, young and old will have an experience to remember and will learn something new, as well as take away plenty of memorable photos.

Seaweed Sally CD
Have fun, make music and learn!!
Seaweed Sally has a music CD available of 11 original
educational marine songs, suited to kindergarten and junior primary
school level.
The songs have catchy, easy to learn tunes with factual marine
information scattered throughout, but most of all their fun.
The Cd may also combine with a booklet containing the words, music and
actions and even some marine pictures to colour in.
The signature song is introduced to students in the Seaweed Sally Kinder program.
