Squid Dissection
Duration: 1.5 hours

If your students want a more interesting dissection in their next biology class or are studying marine life why not try a squid dissection with us! Ideal for year 7 - 10 students. We come to your laboratory classroom. A marine scientist that is! We provide the squid. We provide the worksheets. Students work in pairs to fully dissect a squid and label the anatomy, and of course check out the ink sac. We even use the squids internal pen to write with! This is definately a prac your students won't forget.
Rockpool Program
Duration: 1.hour

The live rockpool animal touch tank allows students to see and feel, first hand, how animals survive in a complex rockpool system. All the animals are from the local Victorian intertidal zone. Some of the animals to come to your classroom will be sea stars, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, elephant snails, hermit crabs, cunjevoi, and sea sponge to name a few. We will look at each animals adaptations, use taxonomy to classify the animals and be able to draw food chains by the end of the session.
Plankton Prac
Duration: 1.hour
Cost: $280 Inc. GST
No. of students: Maximum of 30 per session
Using our simple guides, your students can identify the different larval stages and adult stages of planktonic life in the ocean. This prac can be done on it’s own or in conjunction with other topics.
Ocean Life
Duration: 1.hour
Cost: $280 Inc. GST
No. of students: Maximum of 30 per session
Using our very large and diverse marine specimens such as whale bones, sea turtles, octopus, sea dragons, sea horse, cuttlefish, shells, coral, sponge, sharks egg etc., students will get an in-depth and hands on look at life in the ocean.
